Function

The Product Development Manager is accountable to keep the product portfolio and its promotion up to date and to continuously improve, adapt and position the product in line with the market needs/opportunities to support maximum sales and margin.

To carry out this mission, you will be required to:

• Create a yearly action plan for the existing product portfolio, in cooperation with sales, Business development and application lab, to develop the targeted (new) markets and (new) applications.
• Situate the product portfolio in the competitive environment (including competitive analysis)
• Develop adapted and effective sales tools to support Sales (direct, distri, agent) and Business Development and to demonstrate (new) functional, nutritional and environmental benefits in collaboration with the different departments (TNS, Nutritional, Legal, RDPP, Sustainability, Agronomy….)
• Define the communication plan for the product portfolio in collaboration with the communication officer.
• Oversee, in collaboration with Market Intelligence, the necessary market studies and their analysis and conclusions. Formulates strategic recommendations accordingly.
• Assist as the “business/market voice” to innovation projects.
• Contribute, with the other Cosucra departments, to the creation of specifications and manufacturing standards in line with market needs and specific demands. In case of derogated products, leads the orientation into the market in collaboration with sales.
• Assist the S&OP process.
• Analyse and defines the KPI for the product portfolio.
• Support quality for the treatment of complaints and/or specific demands to reinforce sales.

Profile

What are the assets that make it easier for you to master the function?

• You have an experience in product Management in a BtoB environment. A technical background is a complementary asset.
• You are passionate about food, nutrition and health products. They are among your favourite topics of conversations!
• Your fuel is to manage projects with internal and external partners.
• You have a great ability to work in a team and collaborate to find solutions.
• You are well organised.
• You are creative, analytical and assertive.
• You have excellent communication skills and you master an advanced level of written and spoken English. French is a nice to have.
